Growing A Service Business

In 2023, Cillian established a service-based business with the aim to quickly grow and offload it as a going concern. Starting from scratch requires maximum efficiency to keep costs down, and profits up - establishing stability.

Initially, the key was to identify the correct suppliers with quality and competitively priced products, sufficient insurance and industry accreditations, the right staff and of course a customer base.

In the first 12 months, the business grew to servicing over 350 working hours per month, with administrative hours on top. At the end of year one, the business was passed over to three members of staff who have continued to grow the company. Now two years in, the business is well established, continues to grow and offers three people full time employment as well as some part time staff. The business was also profitable in year one which was only possible due to efficient management of goods, processes, administration and staff.
